Golinhac – Conques: Stage 08
Last stage of our tour by Via Podiensis.
We will not find an open shop until we reach Espeyrac, a 9 kilometres away from our start village.
Later we pass Sénergues, a small town with castle and square tower of XIV century.
The jewel of the day is Conques, a spectacular medieval village. It retains its walls, the doors and houses of that time. The Basilica of Saint-Foy is a Romanesque building from the twelfth century, a large building in the Aveyron region.
Conques is well worth a walk and wander through its streets. The next day morning we’ll go down to the medieval bridge where pilgrims continue their Way.
