Saint Côme d´Olt – Golinhac: Stage 07
We wake up in the medieval village of Saint-Côme-d’Olt. And the following village is also a great place. It’s called Espalion. We can reach it walking through the woods and great views over the valley or walk along the Lot River. A medieval bridge and a palace are the first thing we see when we get this locality. Do not forget to visit the two jewels of Romanesque art we pass by: the Church of Perse, in Espalion, and the chapel of the Church of Bessuéjouls. It is in the bell tower and we access it by a very narrow stairs. Better to leave our backpack down. That says it all.
Later, Estaing, another village classified as “one of the most beautiful in France”.
It is a stage that we should rise early because all these villages deserve a good ride and the day ends up being long and intense.
